Tang Sancai is the general term for low-temperature colored glazed pottery in the Tang Dynasty. On the same utensil, basic glaze colors such as yellow, green, white or yellow, green, blue, ocher, and black are interlaced at the same time to form a colorful artistic effect. "Three colors" means colorful and does not specifically refer to three colors.

Tang Sancai is a kind of multi-colored low-temperature glazed pottery. It uses fine white clay as the base material, uses lead and aluminum oxides as fluxes, and uses copper, iron, cobalt and other elements as colorants. The glaze is yellow, green, blue, white, purple, brown and other colors, but many utensils are mainly yellow, green, and white, and some utensils only have one or two of the above colors, which are collectively called "Tang Sancai".

Comprehensive color is a new form of decoration that uses a combination of multiple techniques.
